Lemon Balm Serum is made with a combination of essential oils and fixed oils with reported pain relieving, antiviral properties, especially useful for shingles. Shingles results when a dormant herpes virus reactivates, following nerve paths on one side of the body, resulting in a painful rash and blisters. Healing oils in this synergy were chosen for their reported success in helping to relieve the pain, itching, and distress of an outbreak, while soothing and moisturizing the skin. Active ingredients are anchored by Melissa officinalis (Lemon Balm), one of the earliest known medicinal herbs. Paracelsus called Lemon Balm the ‘Elixir of Life.’

As with all essential oil treatments, effectiveness varies due to individual physiology. An EO synergy is best applied at the first sign of an attack to prevent the viruses from replicating, prevent blisters, and to damp down pain. Antiviral oils are useful at later stages but effectiveness is less than if used during the first stages.
